Sugar cookies are delicate, which means there’s nowhere for bad ingredients to hide. While cheaper brands use that gritty brown rice flour, Jules uses a blend of five premium flours that makes every cookie shine on its own, without having to mask unwanted tastes with loads of butter or sugar.
You can’t hide an inferior gluten free flour in an authentic sugar cookie. Rice flour? You’ll feel the grit. Bean flour? You’ll have an unpleasant aftertaste. With gfJules Gluten Free Cut-Out Sugar Cookie Mix, you’ll know if that first memorable bite. You’ll see.

How To Use The gfJules Gluten Free Cut-Out Cookie Mix
½ cup butter (or vegan butter) OR shortening OR coconut oil
1 egg OR gluten-free powdered egg replacer
¼ cup+ milk (dairy or non-dairy)
Food coloring (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Whip butter/shortening and ½ of the mix together until fluffy. Add egg/substitute, milk & food coloring, mixing until smooth, then slowly stir in the rest of the mix. If the dough is too dry, mix in 1-2 Tbsp milk.
For best results, cover the dough and refrigerate until cold to reduce stickiness. If using coconut oil, bring the dough back to room temperature before rolling it out. Heat oven to 375°F (350° convection), line baking sheets with parchment.
CUT-OUT COOKIES
Sprinkle a baking mat or a clean counter with gfJules® Gluten Free All Purpose Flour so the dough won’t stick. Roll dough to 1/8” thickness & cut out shapes, re-roll extra dough. Transfer cookies to lined baking sheets & decorate if desired. Bake 5-8 minutes or longer for crispier cookies (bake time differs with cookie size and thickness, so monitor closely). Cool on wire racks.
SUGAR COOKIES
Form teaspoon-sized scoops of dough into balls, roll in sugar, flatten lightly & place onto lined baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes, cool on wire racks.
Makes ~ 36 cookies, depending on size.

FAQs
Will these cookies be "gritty"?
Absolutely not. That "sandpaper" texture in other brands comes from cheap rice flour. Because of Jules’ award-winning flour blend, these cookies have a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture that will have people asking, "Is this really gluten-free?"
Can I freeze the dough?
Yes! You can freeze the prepared dough to use later, or you can bake the cookies and freeze them after they’ve cooled. They’re perfectly portable for lunches or last-minute treats.
My grandsons have wheat, egg and dairy allergies, so I use your gluten-free cutout cookie mix with unsweetened applesauce to replace the eggs and milk. Your cookies are delicious and always turn out perfect!
Had a fall cookie and craft say with my grandkids and I have 1 that as a gluten allergy, I googled for the best rool out cookie dough and gfJules came up, read the reviews and bought a pack. My granddaughter said they were the best cookies. Will be buying more for our Christmas cookie party...
Thank you for making a product that is actually eatable.
This is my first time dealing with gluten free cookies so my experience may be typical of all gluten free cookies. First, the flavor was quite good so it gets extra points for that.
However, the dough was difficult to worth with because it was sticky and sponge-like. I found that I had to dip everything in GF flour in order for the dough not to stick. This made cutting out shapes very difficult. Also, the “spongy” texture made the dough hard to cut out shapes because the dough would “reseal” the cut unless I worked fast.
After re-rolling the dough a couple of times with additional flour, it finally came together and I could cut out the cookies.
The cookies also puffed up and there was some minor spread but overall, they maintained their shape. As a result, I will need to use the bottom of the cookies for decorating.
The cookie itself is quite delicate and almost “cake like” in consistency. But, again, they taste good!
This is my first time using the sugar cookie mix. I decided to make them as drop cookies, rolled in sugar (this is how I prefer sugar cookies). They were super easy to make and absolutely delicious! 2 GF people in my house and we both loved them!
These taste just as delicious (if not better!!) than my gluten cookies. They also freeze very well. My celiac daughter cried tears of joy when she first tasted them. Love them, thank you!!🙏
I host an annual cookie decorating fun night for my young adult daughter, son, and their partners! Great creative decorating! Cookies taste good, too !!
With a bit of help my 5 yr old granddaughter made and decorated she six it’s just like play doh but we gay to eat them. I’m the only celiac in the house but they were eaten thinking they were regular.
These cookies turned out just like the soft store bought wheat cookies. They're perfect on their own - no icing or sugar sprinkles needed! Will definitely keep this mix on my list.
I actually haven’t tried it, but I do love your product. I purchased it for my daughter-in-law. My son has celiac and also has a dairy allergy. So I thought it would be a fun stocking stuffer gift to give her and him for Christmas. I’m sure they’re going to love it. I made the rolls using your flour for Thanksgiving and they were a big
These cut outs are just as good, dare I say better? than my mother in laws. And the bonus, much easier to make. Kids, adults and the grandkids always love these.

Making NC and Virginia cookies for a wedding. I made a trial run to see how many cookies I could get out of each bag of mix. Bride and groom loved the cookies. Wedding the 31st of August. Will provide pictures after the wedding.

Such pretty cookies, Sheila!!! I'm glad you love using my gfJules Flour in your original sugar cookie recipe and always have that to fall back on. Note that with my Sugar Cookie Mix, you can also roll them thinner or bake them longer if you don't want to them to be as soft!
I like the product, but I didn't realize I ordered the 30 day re-order; I will never use that many, so I cancelled that type of order for the future
The cutout cookies were amazing! You couldn't tell the GF ones from the ones made with all-purpose flour. Made them for St Patrick's day. Won't be the last time I use gfJules flour!
After years and much frustration over trying to get a cut-out cookie mix to work, we finally have success! That you Jules for making my teen a very happy kid who can now resume our tradition of holiday cut-out cookies! They taste amazing and so easy to work with.
I sent this mix to my daughter. She was making an assortment of baked goods for her neighbors for the holiday. One of her neighbors told her they were the best sugar cookies he'd ever eaten and he doesn't even like sugar cookies. So, I think they were a big hit!
Love this mix, every time I make them I get requests for my recipe. No one in my family eats gluten free except me and they all love them. Hands down the best sugar cookies. Super easy to roll out and they bake up light and fluffy. I have loved every mix I have bought. Customer for life!
