Non-GMO Ingredients: Cane Sugar, Modified Tapioca Starch, Potato Starch, Corn Starch, White Rice Flour, Corn Flour, Baking Powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), Xanthan Gum, Salt, Vanilla Powder
Ingredients to add to mix:
½ cup butter (or vegan butter) OR shortening OR coconut oil
1 egg OR gluten free egg replacer (e.g. Ener-G® OR 1/4 cup applesauce)
¼ cup+ milk (dairy or non-dairy)
Food coloring (optional)
Instructions: Whip butter/shortening and ½ of mix together until fluffy. Add egg/substitute, milk & food coloring, mixing until smooth, then slowly stir in rest of mix. If dough is too dry, mix in 1-2 Tbsp milk.
For best results, cover dough and refrigerate until cold to reduce stickiness. If using coconut oil, bring dough back to room temperatures before rolling out.
Heat oven to 375°F (350° convection), line baking sheets with parchment.
Cut-Out Cookies: Sprinkle baking mat or clean counter with gfJules® Gluten Free All Purpose Flour so dough won’t stick. Roll dough to 1/8” thickness & cut out shapes, re-roll extra dough. Transfer cookies to lined baking sheets & decorate if desired. Bake 5-8 minutes or longer for crispier cookies (bake time differs with cookie size and thickness, so monitor closely). Cool on wire racks.
Sugar Cookies: Form teaspoon-sized scoops of dough into balls, roll in sugar, flatten lightly & place onto lined baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes, cool on wire racks.
